How much should a dog sleep??? Dogs are supposed to spend approximately half their life sleeping. I think that I sleep more than that..; 8 hours a night with my family, x hours during boring reading or tv watching in the evening, and I sleep all day while my parents are working (at least they think I am sleeping..). Of course, I sleep less during the weekends, vacations and hunting periods, but in a typical day I do sleep a lot....!

My mom thinks I sleep too much. But thats only because I am growing and saving my energy for when I am big enough to run around, bang into her legs and knock her down.
